The long-anticipated Pioneer DDJ-1000 review. The DDJ-1000 was the first Pioneer controller to be exclusively designed with Rekordbox DJ (performance mode) in mind… as opposed to being essentially a repurposed Serato controller.

The high-res screens between the full CDJ-sized jog wheels provide loads of visual feedback, minimizing the amount of laptop staring you have to do. And with tension adjustment, you're able to dial in the exact feel that you prefer.

Dual USB opens up possibilities for B2B sets and easy changeovers… a welcome feature. Plus, it's loaded with FX which are sure to keep you busy for a while.

At the end of this review, we talk to Mo Dingo (who owns this particular unit) and ask him about his “field experience” with the DDJ-1000. Between our earlier unboxing video and this one, he's done several mobile gigs on the device and lets us know how he's gotten along with it.
